Good evening. I wanted to write something from my head, but God put this on my heart.

Happy New Year!

Philippians 3:7-14

“But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ?the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

The answer is hopefully none with the exception of a few professional affairs in our day to day. Otherwise, our lives should solely be hitched to one thing…God's will.

…You better come on. Good morning. Focusing on people and their very "sometiming" ways will drive you absolutely crazy.
Peace – Kimberly

"People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

NinTai is an adherence to a course of action, belief, or purpose without giving way. perseverance, persistence, tenacity, steadfastness and patience all define NinTai. each of these conveys a sense of endurance in the pursuit of a desired end.

desired end…meaning that which you want to possess or have happen, but not only to want, but rather to want and to desire to keep or experience. sounds simple right? well, in my life and in my experiences, the problem sometimes is not “hanging in there” until i get what i desire, but rather determining just what it really is that i want and for what duration.

i’m serious. the word “want” can be very tricky sometimes. at times, what we want may be a result of jealously or envy; sometimes what we want may be a result of what others have suggested that we have or expect. from where i stand, what we want and desire should simply be what “we” want and/or desire. the directly uninvolved cannot produce, for us, the perseverance, persistence, tenacity, steadfastness and patience it takes to get to our desired end, so who are they to tell us what that desired end should be?

i’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “anything worth keeping is worth a fight.” well, i’ll add to that, “anything worth fighting for is worth your own effort.” in many situations we easily get bored with those things that we convinced ourselves that we wanted. i think we become so easily bored because, genuinely it’s not what we wanted in the first place. we faked the funk, the music stopped, and we lost interest.

desire deals with passion; passion deals with the internal, and the internal dwells only within the encompassing body. allow what’s inside of “you” to decide just what it really is that you want. in the end, you will find happiness, consistency, and a greater appreciation for all of your sacrifices and efforts. admittedly, it’s not easy; i struggle with it too, but hey, i’m working on it! you, do you, and i’ll do me!

peace – kimberly
